‘’You’re good for nothing.’’

‘’You can’t even do a simple thing like this?”

‘’Why can’t you be as good as (this person) or (that person)?”

Sometimes the words you hear from others... can cut really deep.

Not only that… but how it eventually breaks a person’s confidence and self-esteem in the long run.

And many times… it occurs way back.

During childhood.

A time when we’re young and impressionable.

A time when our belief systems and experiences were built on.

And as we grew up… we carry these experiences as we go through life.

Low confidence shows up in different situations:

  • The dream job you wanted to have but held back on because you felt you weren’t confident enough to give it a shot.
  • The conversation you’d wanted to have… but didn’t. Cause you were afraid to look silly and awkward.
  • An injustice you experienced at the marketplace but kept quiet about it. Cause you didn’t want to rock the boat.

You see… confidence is the essential building block for success in all areas of your life.

Whether it’s at home, at work, in your relationships, or social settings.

Confidence plays a critical role in how you see yourself and in how you behave.

It can affect your relationship with family and friends, job performance, your involvement in the community.

And can even hold you back from achieving your smallest to biggest goals in life.

The Foundation of Self-Confidence In Islam - Tawakkul.

Your absolute confidence and trust in Allah.

Believing and knowing that nothing can happen to you or hurt you unless it is by Allah’s Will.

“[Then] when you have decided on a course of action, put your trust in Allah:  Allah loves those who put their trust in Him.  If Allah helps you [believers], no one can overcome you.  If he forsakes you, who else can help you?  Believers should put their trust in Allah.”

- Qu’ran 3: 159-160

Remember… that in whatever you’re trying to do, you’re never alone.

Knowing and remembering that you have Allah - is one of the primary keys to developing as an individual and raising confidence levels.

Real confidence is not…

  • Dominating and controlling conversations.
  • Always highlighting other people’s flaws.
  • Self-praise and bragging to the world about achievements.
  • Sounding intelligent or looking good.
  • Being the loudest in the room and at the center of attention.
  • Seeking glory and adoration from people.
  • Seeking an abundant life in terms of wealth, status, and property.
  • Striving to get ahead at the cost of losing self or hurting others.
  • Defensive, impulsive action to always fight one’s corner.
  • Finding fault with others and expecting them to change first.

Real confidence is…

  • Being open-minded enough to entertain another person’s opinion.
  • Being kind and raising another person’s self-esteem.
  • Having full humility and recognizing nothing is achieved without the help and mercy of Allah.
  • About beautifying your heart with sincerity, compassion, mercy, and empathy.
  • Speaking only what is necessary and being interested in what others have to say.
  • Only seeking Allah’s praise with full tawakkul that He acknowledges and sees all your efforts.
  • Seeking an abundant heart filled with the love of Allah.
  • About using wisdom, holding on to values, and upholding manners.
  • Having the self-discipline to pause, evaluate, and then appropriately respond.
  • Reflecting on your own actions first and seek changes within self.

Many of us become unsure of how to improve our self-confidence at the workplace, at home, or during our day-to-day interactions.

And how it has held us back from being the best versions of ourselves… spiritually, physically, and emotionally.

That is why we are introducing….
